Crack it like a clam

The differential is cracked open so we can remove the axles to be lengthened.
mmmmm, goopy!

Meanwhile, it's all hands on deck to get the exact center point of the wheels. The spoke welding is about to take place! The measurements are critical, as with this spoke design, there is little room for adjusting afterwards.

Weeknight Rally

The team has been in the shop almost every night this week.
We have a schedule to keep!

Measuring up the rest of the frame. Did we mention that this
trike has to fit in a NYC basement? Down a narrow flight of steps
and around a 90 degree corner? Gotta stay within the Magic Box.

Getting ready to weld the fork to the frame.
Remember that little moped?

Back in the Saddle

Deli Slices

The team is back in the shop.
Next up: A three-wheeler for a stilt-walking band!

Erik gives extra care on the wheel slugs - trimming it TIGHT

John is figgerin’ out the mechanical stuff.

Hedy cuts the steel to John's plans.

Meanwhile, Dave gets a center point for a new wheel design on this build.
More on wheels later.

Tom gets ready to chop the front end off the moped.
The steering column will be used in the rear-wheel steering design.

Thanks, Alex, for the little moped!

Oh, what's this? A Union lunch break. Pizza & porn.

John starts the frame welds.
